It seems that every year, despite Christmas and New Year falling in summer in Australia, a chill goes down the spine of real estate agents working over the holiday season when they dread signing up a buyer only to discover that conveyancers are closed.
Not the case here! Eckermann Conveyancers is open right through the holiday season and this year, we’re pleased to say that we’ll be even more available than ever, through our out-of-hours service, Eckermann Assist.
Conveyancers of Christmas present
This year, as always, Eckermann Conveyancers and Eckermann Property Forms will be on deck over the Festive Period.
We will still be trading for all business days through the holiday period, as follows:
- All days leading up to 24 December – business as usual
- Tuesday 24 December – 2pm close
- Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day) – closed
- Thursday 26 December (Boxing Day) – closed
- Friday 27 December – 2pm close
- Monday 30 December – 2pm close
- Tuesday 31 December – 2pm close
- Wednesday 1 January (New Year’s Day) – closed
- Thursday 2 January onwards – business as usual
This approach means we can open new files, keep current transactions moving, and liaise with third parties like banks and the Land Titles Office, as needed.
All our metropolitan and regional offices will be open during this period, with the exception of our Glenelg office, where new and existing files will be handled by the Adelaide office.
And this year, we’re also just a call away!
This year, we are pleased to offer an additional level of service to support you over the holiday period – including on the public holidays and the weekends.
Most of you would be aware that a few months ago we launched Eckermann Assist – a communication service for any out-of-hours contract, Form 1 or conveyancing queries. This out-of-hours support will, of course, continue to be available over the holiday period:
Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.00am – 9.00pm
Weekends and public holidays between 9.00am – 5.00pm

Conveyancers of Christmas past
One of the great benefits of being the largest conveyancing firm in South Australia, is the ability to juggle team rosters so we can maintain a professional service while many South Australians take the opportunity to have some time out.
We do this because during this ‘time out’, many have time to think about their assets and their business goals going forward, and can use the holidays for looking at properties to buy or getting a property ready to sell, tasks where conveyancers are crucial.
We believe it’s very important to have a team of Client Partners to keep everything moving toward settlement while others settle down around tables, picnic blankets or on beach towels over summer.
Conveyancers of Christmas future
We have no intentions of changing our service in Christmases to come.
We have found real estate agents, vendors, and purchasers are forever grateful when they discover that we stay open while everybody else takes time out, and that means the world to us, such appreciation is like having all our Christmases come at once!
