I was working in Australia and England in Insurance (both private and commercial) for the 14 years before I moved to Mount Gambier and joined Eckermanns. I also had a stint in India providing training to off shore staff which was really interesting.
I didn’t know what a conveyancer did when I first applied to Eckermanns but I certainly do now and it was a nice change to move to a role that was engaging directly with clients rather than being focused on processing and the backend.
I’m passionate about attention to detail which aligns perfectly with my role as a client manager especially when checking documents and reading contracts – plus I understand the importance of confidentiality in the sort of work that we do. I enjoy the diversity of my job and problem solving when there is an issue to overcome – and usually there is!
Outside of work I watch Netflix to relax, often with a glass of wine. We have just adopted a stray cat and are in the process of building our own home so that keeps me pretty busy. I have dabbled in limestone carving in the past and being in Mount Gambier, there’s a bit of limestone around! Maybe I’ll get back to taking that up again.
