In the unlikely situation where we haven’t upheld our commitments to you as outlined above, we offer you the opportunity to receive a reduction up to the full amount of the professional fee on the conveyancing fees we quoted you.

You just need to contact Brad Eckermann on 0429 859 539 or email brad@eckermanngroup.com to advise where we’ve fallen short of our commitment during the transaction. Brad will discuss with you the amount that you believe reasonable to cover for us not meeting your expectations. We greatly value your feedback whether positive or negative and want to use your feedback to make sure we improve for the next time we assist you

Conveyancers Professional Fee

  • Receiving the Contract from the Agent and checking/following up Special Conditions
  • Checking the Form 1 Statement for correctness/accuracy
  • Completing the Verification of Identity requirement in accordance with the Verification of Identity standard
  • Verifying our clients authority to deal with the transaction (Verification of Authority)
  • Preparing or reviewing the Transfer (depending on which party we are acting for)
  • Attending to execution of the Transfer
  • Preparing Settlement Statements
  • Attending to payments to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) where required
  • Arranging payment of outstanding rates and taxes
  • Assessment and payment of any government fees and charges applicable (registration fees and stamp duty)
  • Arranging or ensuring the discharge of any existing mortgages or caveats
  • Liaising with all parties concerned to reach settlement including the agent, bank and the other party’s representative
  • Overseeing the completion of settlement on the Electronic Conveyancing platform PEXA
  • Advising the Agent and you of completion of settlement
  • Informing Council, SA Water, Revenue SA, Strata/Community Manager or Property Managers of the change of ownership
  • Office disbursements such as bank cheques, additional title searches, postage, photocopying, telephone calls, file storage and all incidental office disbursements

Where applicable to your transaction, the following charges are not included in Eckermann Conveyancers’ Professional Fee, and will either be charged to you on your settlement statement or recovered from you separately.

    • Lands Titles Office Registration Fee
    • PEXA (electronic conveyancing platform) fee
    • Rates and taxes
    • Mortgage establishment or discharge fees
    • Eckermann Forms’ Form 1 preparation fee
    • Required statutory searches.
