Circuit breaker restrictions 18 November
Following the announcement from the Premier, the Commissioner of Police and Chief Medical Officer of new COVID-19 restrictions to be enforced in South Australia, we want to assure you that the Eckermann Group is prepared and able to conduct your property transactions completely online.
However, at the time of posting this message (Wednesday 18 Nov at 6pm) removalists and conveyancers are not on the State Government’s list of critical services. As a result, the practicalities of property transactions including the moving in and moving out process, and handing over of keys, may not be able to be completed in accordance with the contract in all circumstances. This could result in a delay in the property settlement process, depending on the circumstances. We will assess each situation individually and work with our clients and the ‘other side’ to do our very best to achieve the best outcome for our clients in what are very trying circumstances for all involved.
In these interesting times (we said interesting because unprecedented is overdone), we look forward to working with our clients, the ‘other side’, Agents and bankers/mortgage brokers to find pragmatic solutions to these challenges.
